It
all started a year and half ago and
every day I see it going on and on, in life people say there are time of up and
down, yes I have seen up and down but some are much much more than we can
handle in our life.
Everybody was
born with purpose in this world and everybody has the goals to fulfill in this
world but what can I say, sometime we build our own cottage or castle which
burial ourselves in and become difficult to get our self out…. I enjoyed been
who I am and working for what I believe in as my goals in this life and this
made me forget things can fall apart sometime in life and it not easy to
continues with my destiny if things does not work as planned, I have been
thinking fighting with my mind, planning and my goals for long time, I sometime
think I took the wrong turn in my life but I keep my hope and try as hard has
it’s to be strong.
My dream still
grows strong Anyway this my main reason for writing this words today is, I have been thinking for while for sometime
now I really wanted to do it but I did not manage get enough fund as I wanted
to start or do it, one of my greatest
dream desire and hope it is my village project – Hope children and Empowerment
center (HCCR) this my current and future and I have been thinking a lot of
how to go on with this because for while I have left many activities there on
stand still due to my financially challenges.
So my question
and my worry now is how will I solve all this challenges and remove the heavily
burden on my back.
One idea I had,
is to move from Nairobi to the village start my new life there where I will not
need to pay for the office or house rent and other things may be easy even if
it for now there so much needed to be achieved. That why I SAY before I MOVE
out from Nairobi there are few things I need to achieve and manage, and that
one place am working on to see how I can fundraise enough funds to make this
big move which is change to my life and my future goals Now or never!.
1) One, if you
remember well sometime last year I worked in training few youth on soap and
candles making. I want to get back to start this as one of our income
generating project but I need to fundraise for the project first (which cost approximately for the capital of
Kshs 30,000, on lower side) and this one project am looking forward to
invest in, as the way of bringing income to support other small HCCR daily
programs apart from Candles and soap making.
2) Two, I want
to start chicken project (which cost
approximately for the capital/ starting money for 100 chicks 20,000 plus
housing building 15,000) in Kenya today chicken are marketable and we have
already open market to sell chicken meat or eggs only the challenges, we get is
capital to start the project and commitment because for the first time you need
to learn a lot in layering chicken to be matured for meat or eggs to start
earning profit from them.
3) Three, After
this project pick or if we can be able to raise more fund in time we would also
like to become the master of ceremony arrangement in hiring chairs, plates,
cups tents and public address to local public communities ceremony in our area
which will be another way of bring income and giving few youth in our society
Job opportunity.
Budget of
getting this equipment in our center
1. Approximate simple plastic chairs each cost
Kshs 500 target of start with 100 chairs – Kshs 50,000.
2. Approximate plate/cups each Kshs 25
target starting point with 1000 – Kshs 25,000.
3. Tents for 100 people it rage from
85,000 to 120, 000 which is branded with organization names.
4. Public address complete system with DJ
mixer approximate of 200,000
This are part of
my wishes list for my next move in settling in the village with Hope children and Empowerment center (HCCR)
and apart from that am always believe so much with learning from each other/
exchange programs as way of inquiring knowledge from other people from
experience sharing and working together for common goals.
4)Four, I
Started building HCCR in 2007 and up to today’s there is so much needed to be
completed especially our guest house which I intend to use as our office,
volunteer and Guest accommodation so as to get new ideas from other people who
will be interested to come work with us for duration of time this alone to complete
from where we left it require (approximate
of Kshs 80,000) which we have not included other house requirement such as
furniture but if we can manage to finish it we can use what already we have
while looking for appropriate equipment furniture.
For all what I
know it only death can separate me with my goals and dream to fulfill my
mission in this world I will keep pushing and pushing until all this and many
more activities and goals fulfilled. For the past few months or year I have
been thinking too much of my life and
things I have done seen come a cross witnessed and been part of it even if we
can say life is not fair, yes it is not but sometime give us a lot of
opportunity to prove who we are and what we can offer to others because life is
sharing and helping each other who does not have what we have or does not have
such opportunity as we have, in past five years I have been involved my self
without minding who I am in social development meeting arranging opportunity
for youth, women and other members of society in training and voluntary opportunity in different
community and I my self I have done it too, been in different communities
projects, T raining and etc and am glad because all those opportunity made me who
I am today and gave me what I know today…..
I belief it we
people who can or who decide our destiny or our goals mission which we want to
achieve in this world, but sometime we all need mentors or role model to help
us out and guide us step by step… And whoever understands you and belief in you
and your goals skill talent can be your mentor in one way or another.
Do you ever
think who are you in society what impact do you bring in your society or can
you be a role model or mentor to somebody in your society? This one question we
all need to ask our selves once in while to see if we still can hold good
morals or add value in our society because it does not matter if it’s positive
or negative even devil has is follower so we all need to know we are in one way
or another responsible to each other development be it on negative or positive
depend with how you think of it… or take things and love your life to be…
It my dream my
hope everything I dream of today one day it will be a stepping stone for
someone else in life to achieve their dream and talking of that it my goals
every day to remind my friends who I am and what I plan wish, dream and work
for every day for. About seven years ago
I got touched with growing number of less educated and street children in our
society and it come to my mind that not only the rich can make change in our
society but everybody with noble heart to make change can help those in need..
Luck of enough
family support from food and basic needs for children when growing up, it very
only foundation which can shape our future in developing our nation’s and our
selves, these some of the reason which made me think am lucky one to have got
an opportunity to share and learn from other youth and people from other part of
our country and the world as I believed it only one man who can come out with
idea turn it to goals and mission to the reality. As one of the victim of
childhood inequality in education and strong family support in understanding my
self and focusing in my future knowing what I want while still young….. this
challenged me so much up to today’s am sure a lot of challenges I FACE it
foundation was build in my childhood when I was growing up.
It does not
matter today our government has proved or supported education for every child
to be in school, but still it does matter or the words are not enough, we still
have a lot to do to achieve this, a child or when we are young everything which
make us happy its all what good for us, and education it not one of them,
believe me or not. Many poor family children find education uninteresting
because of what they go through in achieving it and if anything else which is
better than that come a cross they go for that.
my goals in HCCR is to advocate, support,
educate needy children give them motivation toward education, about seven years
ago I started thinking of this idea of building a children home/ center just
not because I was rich guy or I had money somewhere but with Hope and what I
only had was a space of small land which our dad left for us and idea behind it
and that in mind I was motivated and I shared it with my friends who I trusted
and majority gave me more motivation to go ahead and do it… some even promised
to held work with me and help fundraise money and other resources to build and
others things.
In 2008 we
started and with nothing but just idea and space HCCR was born and it was my
greatest moment in my life and I knew nothing gonna stop me until the center
its fully complete with children and my dream of waking up every morning to
start a day surrounded by over fifty children guiding them and giving them
motivation to start their day. But by today when I am writing this I WISHED
this will be complete by now but due to human challenges, financially I have not
yet achieved that dream, but am still too much a live and know even if it next
ten years from today HCCR Will stand up as children center for community
education advocate for all and especially a place where children will get
motivated empowered and home for many.
It does not
matter how, who when, where or why but it only take one man or women to start
bringing or making that life time change to someone, society, Nation and world
all we need it’s courage, motivation, sacrifice and our selves to achieve to
offer come and bring who we are in our society and to those around us.
Lastly it’s only
that little step we make in our life can make that big different change to
someone life or in our society, so if you are reading this and you wish you
could help it never too late to make change, I Would be GLAD to listen hear and
share more with you for bring change we believe in our society.
